If you are going to use the concentrated stock jelly or the cubes Justin, just substitute the 1/2 cup water with the wine of your choice. I always chill the gravy/juice in a separate container to the meat–makes fat removal easier with a flat surface! I didnt follow the recipe exactly but it got me where I needed to go. I prefer cooking sous vide, another approach to slow cooking, because of how it creates such moist tender meat. I can find exactly what it translates to in Dutch, but it’s just not sold here, or at least I can’t find it. Slow cooking for a long period of time leaves these short ribs and vegetables fork tender and delicious.

Skimming the fat off of the top before addin cornstarch helps. These ribs turned out great! If your dish is to fatty do steps 1 thru 3, refrigerate over night.
I cooked it early morning so that I would have time to refrigerate the sauce and solidify any excess fat, which I removed. I don’t like cooking and I usually find it a really mundane task but I want to cook for my future husband one day and these recipes are honestly so easy to follow and well rewarding! Thank you! I ended up letting it cool so the grease would solidify and then it was easy to remove and then reheat the ribs. You can always reduce the amount of reduced sodium soy sauce as needed. I did add Bok Choy the last 10 minutes of cooking and ate it on top of jasmine rice. WOuld it be weird if I used chicken broth? Place browned short ribs in a 6-7 quart slow cooker. I’ve made it 4;5 times. I would think cooking time would be the same.

They actually stopped selling that which is a shame because it really was great, but for just regular stock, like Swanson’s, use 1/2 cup.
I found a package of boneless pork loin back ribs on sale for the ridiculously low price of under $4, because that day was their sell by date. I love cats, my pets, driving, reading, cooking, rock music, tech, travel, Mario games, cheesecake, coffee, and cooking. Served over cauliflower rice to enjoy the delicious sauce.
