PHOTOPOLYMER CLICHÉS are available in full sheet sizes, case lots, or convenient pre-cut plate sizes. Pre-cut plates normally offered in packages of 5 plates, sealed in black opaque polyethylene bags. Pre-imaged plates are also available. Photopolymer clichés are offered in both alcohol and water wash types. Manufactured with tough and abrasion resistant polyamid resin as its main component, these plates offer an extremely long printing life. Ample latitude in both exposure and wash out process insure consistent results and ease of reproducibility. Recommended light sources are ultra-violet fluorescent lamp or super high-pressure mercury lamp with a peak exposure between 350 and 370 nm. STANDARD ALCOHOL WASH - Our most widely utilized print plate. Alcohol wash plate material gives tremendous latitude for open and screened etched images. It has also proven to be compatible with closed ink cup systems, providing unmatched print life. Alcohol wash plate manufacturing chemicals and process equipment are also available to allow for immediate in house production. STANDARD WATER WASH -Industrial duty, environmentally safe, low cost, and ease of process make this a superior print plate. In order to control each depth, a second exposure using a screen film is utilized during processing. This water wash plate material is not recommended where open etches are a requirement.
